Grand Marshal - 2002 Pat Cogley
The Irish-American Club of St. Clair County is proud to announce the selection of Patrick Cogley as its Grand Marshal for 2002. As Grand Marshal Pat will preside over CelticFest 2002 and The St. Patrick's Parade.
Pat, a life-long Port Huron resident, was selected for his public and community service and for his consistent and continuous efforts to foster a positive image of Irish Americans. He is the director of Catholic Social Services of St. Clair County and served for a 10 years as a member of the Port Huron City Council including 6 years as mayor pro-tem.
Pat was one of the founders of the Irish-American Club of St. Clair County and has served as its President and continues to serve as a member of its Board of Directors. He is active in special interest groups including history and literature. Pat has a strong interest in genealogy and has done a great deal of research concerning the Irish pioneers of this county.
He is a 5th generation Irish-American. The Cogleys were natives of Kilmore Quay, Co. Wexford, Ireland and early settlers of Emmett and Kenockee Townships.
Pat lives in Port Huron with his wife Judy and their three children Bridget, Ryan and Erin.
